2009 Christmas Festival
Orofino Christmas Festival to feature new activities this year
Orofino’s Seventh Annual Christmas Festival will feature some new and exciting activities this year including a passport program and live nativity.
Get ready to visit businesses and get stamps on the passport to enter a special drawing for Orofino Chamber Bucks. Game cards will be available at the chamber and other participating businesses next week. Watch for more and win.
Orofino’s annual Christmas Light Parade will sparkle and brighten the night Thursday, Dec. 3, as the community kicks off the holiday season and Christmas Festival.
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Michigan Ave. near Orofino Junior High School and wind its way down Michigan then down Johnson Ave. past Brookside Landing and back up Main to Michigan to the parking lot by Cannon Park.
There will be prizes for the top entries. Call Heather Burnham at the Orofino Chamber of Com-merce (208) 476-4335 for further information or stop by the office for an entry form.
Christmas Festival activities will continue Friday and Saturday with demonstrations, open houses, special presentations, fund raising breakfast and so much more. Come enjoy Orofino's Christmas Festival 2009 with family, friends and neigh-bors in the community and maybe even make some new friends while beginning the celebration.
Watch for a full schedule of events on the Orofino Chamber of Commerce web site: www. orofino.com and on Window on the Clearwater.
