Clerk requests transfer of funds
Clearwater County Clerk Carrie Bird presented Oct. 14 to the Clearwater County Commissioners a report on the ending balance of the County Budget for FY 2007-2008. There are budgets that are ending in a negative balance. There are funds in the budgets that can be transferred from the “B” budget to cover the “A” budgets that are in the negative.
She asked for the Commissioners’ approval to sign Resolution #08-09-22 for transferring funds in the Fiscal Year 2007-2008 County Budget. Also, Clerk Bird reported that the State Tax Commission approved the County’s levy rates and L-2 forms for the 2008-2009 Fiscal Year Budget.
The commissioners approved expense claims for the fiscal year end.
The Commissioners approved appointing Cleone Jolley as the Member at Large on the ICRMP Board.
They approved for Chair Don Ebert to sign the Idaho Community Development Block Grant Program Request for Funds for the Ahsahka Water Improvement grant #ICDBG-08-II-07-PF.
The Dworshak Boat Dock License Renewal was reviewed and approved by the Commissioners. They approved the motion to sign the License No. W912EF-3-08.
The Commissioners approved and named Jack Nelson, Latah County Commissioner to the Capital Crimes Defense Fund At Large Board Member.
Chief Sheriff Deputy Chris Goetz reported on the Sheriff’s Office. Idaho County Search and Rescue asked for help with a search for lost hunter in the Selway River backcountry. The department provided two dogs and handlers over the last week of the search.
The Commissioners met with the Clearwater County Extension Agent Randy Brooks and he introduced Sarah Shoemaker as the new Extension Educator.
Shoemaker is providing programs for community development and youth programs. She has worked in this type of program for the U of I for the last seven years through Boundary County.
Sept. 2008 expense claims were approved and ordered to be paid in the following amounts: Total expenses for September were $403,476.04.
Current Expense-$112,276.35; Road & Bridge-$37,469.89; Ambulance-$18,155.47; District Court-$21,638.57; Justice Fund-$73,783.45; Drug Court-$60.59; Historical Society and Museum -$9,500.00; Health Department-$15,156.50; Social Services-$25,451.78; Revaluation-$1584.42; Enhanced 911-$2804.21; Solid Waste-$41,727.39; Current Expense Tort-$4,823.18; Weeds-$1857.88; Waterways-$553.27; Dent Bridge Trust-$15.00; Insurance & Grants-$29,905.51; Hospital Loan Trust Account-$6,712.58.
There were four executive sessions held to discuss litigation, personnel and indigent matters.
Present for the commissioners meeting were Chairman Don Ebert, Commissioners Stan Leach and John Allen.
