OHS student wins Idaho Bureau Federation Scholarship

Clearwater-Lewis County Farm Bureau would like to congratulate Chelsea Barger, a 2009 Orofino High School graduate, for being awarded an Idaho Bureau Scholarship in the amount of $750.

Idaho Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) awards eight of these $750 scholarships to worthy Farm Bureau applicants from around the state each year. The children of Farm Bureau members who are currently attending college or are seniors in high are eligible to apply for these scholarships. The Clearwater–Lewis County Farm Bureau also gives out several small scholarships.

Chelsea’s outstanding application was chosen at the county level along with several other worthy students to receive additional scholarship money. Chelsea was awarded $250 by Clearwater–Lewis County Farm Bureau. Clearwater and the surrounding counties have not had a state winner in over nine years. Farm Bureau of Orofino is proud to have Chelsea represent Clearwater County at the state level of the Farm Bureau Federation.

Farm Bureau members who would like to apply for these scholarships in 2010 can stop by the Farm Bureau Insurance office at 150 126th St. Suite C in Orofino or call the office at 476-4722, to obtain a scholarship application.

Non-Farm Bureau members who are interested in applying for these scholarships can also get information at the Farm Bureau office at the above location and phone number.
