The City of Orofino will hold a general election Tuesday, Nov. 3 at
Orofino City Council Chambers, 217 First Street. The polls will be
open from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Choir practice begins Oct. 25
Orofino Community Choir will begin practices for their Christmas
concert series at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at the First Christian

Public Health receives first shipments of H1N1
vaccine
Throughout the summer and early fall, Public
Health – Idaho North Central District has been working with our
medical community, schools and community partners in preparation and
anticipation of the arrival of H1N1 vaccine. Recently Public Health
received its first small shipments of H1N1 vaccine.

Missing man
not seen since Oct. 17
George E. Carpenter, age 73, has not been seen since Saturday
morning, Oct. 17. George is known to cut firewood in the area north
of Rudo Road.

Clearwater-Lewis County Farm Bureau would like to congratulate
Chelsea Barger, a 2009 Orofino High School graduate, for being
awarded an Idaho Bureau Scholarship in the amount of $750.

purchased a software system in 2005, to lay the foundation for an
Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

Due to the large number of area residents experiencing flu-like
symptoms the CVH Orofino clinic triage nurse is triaging people over
the phone during clinic hours to determine if they should be seen by
a medical provider.

Bertys Smolinski celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Her two daughters, Shirley Lutes and Betty Crutcher and her son
Jerry and their families took care of the details for the party.

Center membership drive in full force
Many people do not know the Center requires membership in order for
teens to use it. Membership only costs $20 a year and gets teens an
all-access pass to the Center including use of the computer lab, all
of the game systems (Xbox 360, Wii, PS2), pool, ping pong, movies,
and just a place to hang out.
