This is a banner year for fall steelhead. Fishing is excellent right now with the water cooling down.

Anglers are doing well using brad's lighted squigglers at night and hot lip lures or mag warts during the day. Bobbers with ducktail jigs and shrimp is another good set up.

The total count to date over Lower Granite Dam as of Oct.14 is 164,873 fish. The last five year average is 58,089 fish. Starting Oct. 15, areas upriver past Memorial Bridge have opened.

The above information is collected from regional Fish and Game fishery managers, local tackle shops and anglers. For more information, visit the IDFG website at cms/fish/reports/clearwater.cfm.
