Lenore residents die in crash
Two Lenore residents died at the scene Monday morning when they were involved in a two vehicle accident near the Clearwater River Casino on southbound US95. The victims have been identified as Temi C. Meninick, 18 and her brother, Daniel J. Meninick, 27 both of Lenore. Both died at the scene.
The accident occurred around 8:28 a. m. at MP 306.5 when T. Meninick was driving a 1999 Dodge Stratus northbound on US 95 and for an unknown reason swerved left through the median and the vehicle rolled onto its top and was struck in the southbound lane by a 2006 Ford F250 truck driven by Patrick M. Madden, 29, of Lewiston.
Neither occupant of Meninick’s vehicle were wearing seatbelts.
Madden was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
The bodies were taken to Vassar Rawls in Lewiston.
The road was closed for approximately four hours according to investigating officer Idaho State Police Trooper Yoder.
Assisting at the scene were Lt. Oswald, Cpl. Koopman, Trp. Youngren, Trp. Kralik, Nez Perce County deputies and Lewiston ambulance.
