Friday July 11 – 1913

   Commenced to repair the telephone line. Guard E McCarthy assisted me

   Guards Dennis and Prettyman built R.S. fence

   Hill and Griffith graded the trail.

Saturday July 12 – 1913

   Swamped out telephone right away

   Dennis & Prettyman finished the fence then they cut brush in the Red River pasture 3 hours

   McCarthy and Griffith worked on the telephone line

   Geo Hill graded on the trail

Sunday July 13 – 1913

   Went to Elk City for mail and supplies and returned to headquarters. Saw Ranger Moses. Received 5 Fish and Game Licences for Don Fisher Deputy Game Warden

Monday July 14 – 1913

   Put up the new telephone line along the new trail we just finished. E. McCarthy assisted me

   Dennis & Prettyman and Geo Hill finished the new trail. Griffith assisted also on the trail

Tuesday July 15 – 1913

   Guard Dennis & Prettyman started for Salmon Mt to repair the telephone line and open up the trail

   McCarthy and Griffith cut logs out of the trail towards Mt. Meadows

   Geo Hill cut brush in the Red River R.S. pasture. I repaired telephone line towards Mt. Meadows

Wednesday July 16 – 1913

   Checked up the tools here at Red River R.S. to know what we had for the fire season and straightened things out that were in the file

   Put shoes on my saddle horse. Issued Fish and Game licence to E. McCarty. McCarthy and Griffith went to Mt. Meadows

   Geo Hill cut brush in the Red River R.S. pasture

Thursday July 17 – 1913

Left Red River R.S. and arrived at 4 mile cr. repaired the telephone line while enroute. Geo W Hill came along. McCarthy & Griffith came over from Mt. Meadows to 4 M. cr. and camped with us.
