CLEARWATER TRIBUNE HOME

September 30, 2010

Fall steelhead fishing is very good right now. Anglers are doing well using brad's lighted squigglers at night and hot lip lures or mag warts during the day. Bobbers with ducktail jigs and shrimp is another good set up.

The total count to date over Lower Granite Dam as of September 22 is 89,723 fish. The last five year average is 58,089 fish. Steelhead fishing opened Aug. 1 in the Clearwater from its mouth upstream to Memorial Bridge. Check seasons and rules for upriver areas opening for catch and keep Oct. 15.

The information above is compiled from regional Fish and Game fishery managers, local tackle shops and anglers and was updated Sept. 23. For more information, visit Idaho Department of Fish and Games website at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/fish/reports/clearwater.cfm
