Stanton-Howland marry July 18 in Orofino
Ashley Marie Stanton and Bryan Michael Howland, both of Lewiston, were married
in an early evening outdoor ceremony, overlooking the Clearwater River Saturday,
July 18 at the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge.
The bride is the daughter of Darold and Marcie Stanton of Orofino and a 2002 graduate of Orofino High School. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Science from Lewis-Clark State College in 2008.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of St. Maries High School and the son of Brenda Mattson and Michael Howland, St. Maries. He graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2009 with a degree in Industrial Electronics.
The Rev. Robert Parker of Troy, formerly of Orofino, performed the double ring ceremony. He performed her parent‘s marriage in 1982 at the Orofino Baptist Church.
The bride was given in marriage by her father who escorted her down the aisle to the music of (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, featuring Kenny G and Lee Ann Rimes.
Her chapel-length satin dress featured a strapless, fitted bodice worn with a waist-length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and purple orchids.
Her wedding colors were black and white with hot pink, turquoise and purple accents.
Flower girl was Avery Smith, Lewiston and ring bearer was Jaden Johnson, Boise. His brother Tristan Johnson, also of Boise, was aisle runner.
Amanda Wilhelm, Lewiston, a childhood friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Best man was Dustin Turner, St. Maries.
Bridesmaids were Katharina Karl of Magdeburg, Germany and the bride’s former Orofino school classmates, Lindsey (Patnode) Roughton and Nicole (Marvin) Louchart, both of Lewiston, Rainy (Richardson) Simpson of Phoenix, AZ and Soren Newman of Moscow.
Groomsmen were Cody Stanton, the bride’s brother, Orofino, Eric Titus, Coeur d’ Alene, Jeremy Barden, St. Maries, Jeremiah Lawson, Texas and Kyle Stevenson, Lewiston.
A reception followed at the Lodge with Dining on the Edge in charge of catering. Music was provided by Bob Thorson of Lewiston.
The five-tiered wedding cake was served by the bride’s aunt and cousin, Lynette Codr, Meridian and Lacey Johnson, Boise.
The couple is making their home in Lewiston where she is employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and he is employed as an electrician at ATK.
They plan a wedding trip to Costa Rica later this year.
