Two arrested on drug-related
charges
A search warrant executed
Tuesday evening at a residence at 14268 Highway 12, Orofino resulted in the
arrest of 49-year-old Darcy Praest and 29-year-old Matthew Roberts, both for
drug-related charges, according to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office.
Praest and Roberts have been
persons of interest believed to have been selling marijuana and diverted
pharmaceuticals out of their Highway 12 residence for the past several months,
according to CCSO. A search of the residence turned up methamphetamine,
marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Both suspects were taken into
custody without incident and face five felony charges, including delivery of a
controlled substance, conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance,
and attempt to deliver a controlled substance, as well as a felony charge for
possession of methamphetamine, according to CCSO.
If found guilty, they could
face up to five years in prison and a $15,000 fine for each delivery charge and
up to seven years and an additional $15,000 for the possession of
methamphetamine, according to CCSO.
