A Tribune Glimpse of the Past..............
C.J. “Pink” Greene hauled this tandem load of short logs (piggyback) from the upper end of Big Canyon Creek. The haul was 13 miles to Peck and had 54 creek crossings. Because of the distance and time involved, Pink was the first to haul short logs with a hay wagon, tandem, behind his ’55 Ford log truck. He was hauling for Coon and Graham Logging.
