onto its side after the pickup hauling it went into the ditch and struck the
bank.

A 2004 Ford pickup hauling a
pontoon boat went into the ditch on
Freeman Creek Road
last Wednesday, according to a press release issued by the Clearwater County
Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
At
6:45 a.m.
on July 21 CCSO deputies responded a report of a non-injury accident near
milepost 5 on
Freeman Creek Road.
Richard Powe, 52, of
Clarkston,
WA
advised deputies that he had been westbound when his pickup, hauling the boat,
drifted off the left side of the road and went into the ditch, according to
CCSO. The pickup then hit the bank, causing the boat to tip onto its side.
There was approximately
$5,000 in damage to the pickup and $2,000 to the boat, according to CCSO.
The vehicle and boat were
towed by Forest Wrecking of Lewiston.
