Marine Deputy towed 13 boats on
the reservoir Saturday
Sheriff Goetz July 19
reported at the Board of County Commissioners meeting that the Marine Deputy
towed 13 boats on the reservoir Saturday, due to engine problems. The Sheriff’s
Department has hired a deputy for the Pierce Patrol position and that person is
to be moved up shortly.
The Board reviewed the
request for Allocation of the 2010 SRS funds for schools and roads. The
allocation of 14 percent for Title II funds and one percent to Title III funds
is the suggested split of the total 15 percent to be received. The Board
approved signing Resolution #10-07-10 designating the National Forest related
Safety-Net Payments for the Secure Rural Schools and Community
Self-Determination Act of 2000 re-authorization in FFY 2008-2010.
Bobbi Kaufman gave a
Planning and Zoning update. She will be attending two days free training for
building officials in
Clerk Carrie Bird
presented a proposal to amend the Personnel Manual; Section 4, Page 28;
Bereavement Leave. This was reviewed and the Board adopted the amendment to the
Clearwater County Employee Handbook.

executive sessions held to discuss personnel and indigent matters. Chairman Don
Ebert, Commissioner John Allen and Commissioner Stan Leach were present for the
meeting.
