Pierce and Weippe Wine tasting event July 19
Don’t miss a relaxing evening Saturday, July 19, 6 to 9 p.m. as the Pierce-Weippe Chamber of Commerce presents their annual Wine Tasting at the Timber Inn Courtyard in Pierce at 7 p.m.
Tim Switzer from Clearwater Canyon Cellars, Clarkston, will be speaking on pairing wines with food. Clearwater Canyon Cellars will be pouring two of their wines for sampling: 2006 Renaissance Red and 2007 Lochsa. Odom Northwest Beverages out of Lewiston will present the following eight Idaho wines for tasting Sawtooth Chardonnay, Merlot and Viognier; Ste. Chapell Soft Red and a Special Harvest Riesling; Pend d’ Orieille Cabernet Sauvignon, Huckleberry and Syrah.
A delicious array of appetizers will be available as well as coffee and water. Door prizes of your favorite wine will be given away and three wine baskets will be available for purchase by silent auction. Admission is $18 at the door.
