The Show & Shine Committee donates
scholarships each year to deserving seniors. Show & Shine chooses students who
will be Manual Arts students and who might not otherwise receive scholarships.
One hundred percent of monies raised goes into the scholarship fund as all costs
are paid for by the members. To date, the group has awarded $22,000 in
scholarships through the sale of T-shirts, $5 raffle tickets and entry fees.
Prizes being raffled off will
be a $200 gift certificate donated by Les Schwab; a $200 gas card; and a $100
gas card.
This year’s scholarship
recipients are: (from Timberline Schools) Alex Opdahl who received a $1,500
scholarship; he will be attending LCSC. Also from Timberline, Walker Newcome
received a $1,000 scholarship.
