May 17, 1913

   Started from Grangeville with the F.S. team for the Cove Placer cabins to get the F.S. wagon and hauled out some hay and telephone wire back to Grangeville. saw Supervisor Ring.

May 18, 1913

   Sunday

May 19, 1913

   Unloaded the wagon and took it to Jim Murphy’s blacksmith shop to be repaired

   Then started for Castle Cr R.S. with 3 mules and one horse. got to the Cove Placer Cabins and found Ranger Crossley and Alva Sillivan and A. Carter both Guards camped there so stopped overnight with them

   Saw Supervisor Ring in A.M.

May 20, 1913

   Left the Cove Placer cabins and went to the Castle Cr. R S and turned the 3 mules and 1 horse out in the pasture. Also took the mules saddles to the R.S.

   Ranger Crossley and Guards were at work on the South Fork telephone line

   Met Supervisor Ring between Mt Idaho and Grangeville

   Returned to Grangeville

May 21, 1913

   Left Grangeville for Slate Cr. R.S. to get 2 F.S. mules their pack saddles and harness

   Met Ranger Holverson and Guard Dobkins

May 22, 1913

   Got the 2 mules and their complete outfit and started back to Grangeville. Ranger Holverson and Wife accompanied me to White Bird. Stopped there overnight
