Stolen items found during house search

   Clearwater County deputies executed a search warrant July 2 for stolen property at a residence in Ahsahka that resulted in felony charges against a female and two juvenile males.

   Information gathered from home and commercial burglaries within the last three months helped in the investigation that led to issuance of a search warrant.

   Property listed in the search warrant and found at the resident at 53 Davaz Road included a 32” flat screen television, Boss surround sound audio system, two Stihl chain saws, Chicago reciprocating saw, and a fire extinguisher.

   Mariana M. Raff Melwing, 36, of Ahsahka was arrested and charged with felony possession of stolen property. A 17-year-old Ahsahka male was charged with two counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, and felony malicious injury to property. An Orofino 16-year-old male was charged with burglary.

   Melwing was released from the Clearwater County jail on her own recognizance and the two teens were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Lewiston.

   All three were scheduled to appear July 6 in magistrate court in the 2nd Judicial District in Orofino.
