Pierce
marks its Sesquicentennial celebration with 1860 Days
This is the 150th
anniversary of Pierce, and the town is ready for a birthday party!
The weekend of Aug. 6, 7, and
8, Pierce 1860 Days is fast approaching—and promises to get you going for great
food, fun contests and fast, foot-movin’ music.
Starting off this year will
be the Kick-Off in the Park, with Pierce Mayor, Greg Gerot officially starting
the festivities and the Lions Club BBQ, Huckleberry Bake-Off, and the Pie and
Ice Cream Social following. Huckleberry Bake-Off contestants need to drop off
their yummy entries at the Community Center at
Special entertainment, a
down-home bluegrass concert by Molly and Tenbrooks, will be featured at
With the Lion’s Club
breakfast on Saturday morning, this gets everyone energized for upcoming events.

ATV Club Fun Run. Cheer on your favorite co-ed softball team competing at the

The Hell’s Canyon Ghost
Riders will be shooting it up at fixed targets, and you can cool off at the
watermelon eating contest and other games of skill.

The Dutch Oven Cook-Off, held
