No toilets at Pine and Jazz Creek campsites for several weeks

Existing outhouses at two campsites on the Clearwater National Forest's North Fork Ranger District are temporarily out of service.

The toilet vaults have to be pumped out so that they can be removed to make way for new, modern vault toilets that will be installed later this month. Both campsites are adjacent to Pierce-Superior Road 250, along the lower part of Orogrande Creek. The Pine Creek site is at the Junction of Road 250 and Pine Creek Road 660 and the Jazz Creek site is a about a mile farther down Orogrande Creek.

Persons planning to camp at these sites for the next several weeks should plan to bring their own portable toilets or be otherwise equipped to dispose of waste properly by burying it far from streams.
