   Royalty for the Timberline Prom were Dustin Bonner, Senior, King; Kelsey Cochrell, Senior, Queen; Donnie Kengen, Senior, Prince; Kaylin Daniels, Senior, Princess; Chad Bailey, Junior, Prince and Sam Bolen, Junior, Princess.

   Malloree Norris is Valedictorian of the Timberline High School class of 2005 and Co-Salutatorians are Jenna Sutton and Jeffrey Larson.

   Orofino High School juniors Katelyn Holzer and Stephanie McPherson are participating on the Idaho Track and Field team in the Down Under Sports Tour in Australia in July. While in Australia, the athletes will be participating in an international tournament.

   2005 Orofino Lumberjack Royalty crowned Saturday night was Ronatta Rales queen and Tawnya Brink and Amy Walker princesses.

   Todd Kinard and Greg Robinson, both of Pierce, were Co-Valedictorians and Michelle Crutcher Salutatorian for the 1995 class at Timberline High School.

   U. S. Army Corps of Engineers crews at the Dworshak Project have been working on constructing new dock systems to be installed at Big Eddy Marina. The new docks will replace those destroyed by a wind storm.

   The Orofino Maniac Baseball Team won the district title as they defeated St. Maries and Moscow. Team members are Jay Dahl, Curt Steiner, Rob Miller, Mike Walrath, Darin Adams, Keith Stuffle, Tom Wargi, Jeff Wilson, Stacy Kroupa, Jason Stockton, Dave Schwartz, Doug Adams, Wade Wilson, Doug Lambrecht, Dan Moyer and Mike Burke.  The team is coached by Bo Cummings.

   We are the champions! The Orofino Boy’s Track Team won the state A-2 title at the meet in Boise. The state title was the first ever for Orofino for the boys track program. Team members are Bobby Thomason, Doug Stuffle, Jason Grindall, Shayne Heine, Adam Sharrai, Doug Case, Todd Hicks, Jeff Farley, Dave Hughan, Dan Richardson, Steve Lee, Brent Furston, Ron Richardson, Tim Beck and Kacey Montgomery.

   Foundation forms were completed this week for the new Orofino Fire Department substation in Riverside.

   Work has begun on the new law enforcement addition to the Clearwater courthouse. Bid price is $764,650 with $190,984 construction items deferred until next year’s budget.

   Wood Winder is the official name for the new fitness trail developed by the Orofino Kiwanis Club in the area of State Hospital North.

   Warren Priddy, Jerry Musselman and Chuck Kinard have won awards as outstanding athletes at Timberline High School.

   Heavy mud conditions have delayed the start of about 150 homes in the Whispering Pines Subdivision at Pierce. Jaype Mill is about 80 percent complete.

   Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson have announced the purchase of Jarty Jewelry in Kamiah June 1. Paul has been a jeweler with Servatius Jewelry the past nine years.

   Open house at the VFW Hall will mark the 25th anniversary of the Harold Kinne Post #3296. The post was chartered May 23, 1935 with 25 charter members.

   Judy Peterka and Dale Daniels of Orofino were married May 6 at the Methodist Church.

   North Fork-William Barnett of Great Falls, Mt. was a weekend guest of his uncle Dexter Barnett.

   Roy Brooks has returned from a five month tour of combat duty aboard a Navy carrier in the Pacific.
