Play practice well underway
Diane Hairston, play director
for the Clearwater Memorial Public Library’s Mystery Dinner Theater to be held
Her B.S. degree from
Eastern Washington University in Theater–Acting and Directing, followed by
several stints with Spokane Civic Theater, Lewiston Civic Theater, as well as at
the University in both directing and acting has prepared Diane extremely well
for her present “civic” role as director of the library’s event.
The mystery play will
be combined with a fine dinner prepared by Jo Moore and her volunteer staff, and
guests have a choice of three entrees and which of the three evenings they would
like to attend. There is also an opportunity to sponsor a table in
addition to the price of tickets, as an extra way to help the library.
Pre-sold tickets are
$40 for singles, $75 couples, and are available by calling Jo Moore at
Raffle tickets are also being sold
for some excellent prizes, including a Dooney and Bourke red leather handbag
with $50 cash enclosed; a hand-thrown set of lovely pottery by Bernadette
Delallo; a romantic getaway overnight at the High Country Inn, and a rolling
insulated cooler stuffed with gourmet picnic items. These prizes can be
seen in the window of the Fiesta en Jalisco restaurant window during the week.
Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.
