Chamber meeting minutes

The Chamber was invited to be
the guests of honor at the THS Academic Awards Banquet. Members were introduced:
Harv and Colleen Nelson, Charlene and Joe Douglas, Rob Harrell, Kathy Coles,
Greg and Diane Gerot, Rhonda Snyder, Mitch and Julie Jared and guest, Gerry
Burnett.
The business meeting was
called to order by Harv Nelson,

and Charlene Douglas, Bev Bailey, Kim Cox, Greg and Diane Gerot, Kathy Coles,
and Rob Harrell were among members
present. Visitors included
Gerry Burnett, Brandi Crawford, and Clel Fay.
Treasurer’s
Report
Chamber Treasurer, Bev
Bailey, reported $9037.23 in the main checking account.

Guest Speaker
Clel Fay, a Republican
running for District 2 Clearwater Co. Commissioner spoke to us about his
background and desires to improve the economic outlook of
Brandi Crawford, manager of
the
Old Business
Commendations to Charlene
Douglas and all who helped make the Chamber Banquet and Auction even more
successful this year. A couple of outstanding bills are still coming in;
however, the net profits were approximately $6500.
Approximately 125 people
attended. Many people helped and contributed; hopefully, they saw the thank you
notice/ad in the Clearwater Tribune. We will purchase a $5000 CD at White Pine
Credit Union so the funds can build some interest.
The Chamber will present a
$500 scholarship to a graduating senior. Diane Gerot will present the
certificate at the graduation.
New Business
Deer Creek Fishing Tournament
will be Saturday, June 12. $300 has been allotted for advertisement. T-shirts
will be for sale as well as caps. Harv will speak with the Sheriff concerning
their focus that day.
It was decided to give $500
to the Pierce Community Pool and request that one day be designated as a Chamber
sponsored day.
As requested, Charlene has
written up a Chamber Grant Application to be filled out by persons or
organizations requesting funds from the Chamber. The application was approved
and will be available to download from the Chamber website. Requests will be
reviewed on a quarterly basis.
