MAY 20, 2010

1st annual Big Eddy boating & Safety Fair is Saturday

Please join us

On Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. our Clearwater County Sheriffs Department, US Army Corps of Engineers Dworshak Dam, Idaho Parks and Recreation, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and other generous local organizations will be hosting this extravaganza.

There will be a free life jacket exchange for kids. The kids will need to bring their clean, usable life jackets that they have outgrown to exchange for one that fits perfectly! Other generous local organizations will be there to make this event fun for our kids.

There will be all kinds of outdoor activities and water safety games...with prizes. There will also be a PWC (personal water craft) simulator for kids to try. A dive trailer and diving equipment will be on display-sponsored by the Clearwater County Sheriffs Department.

You can also get a free boat safety inspection – a great opportunity to be sure we’re all ready for a safe boating season.

Clearwater Humane Society will be serving hot dogs, soda and other yummy things. The hosts are also working on having upbeat music by local young musicians.

Please come and enjoy all the fun. This is a great way to start our summer. For more information or questions, call the Dworshak Dam Visitor's Center at 208-476-1255.
