Joint School District #171 May 19 board meeting agenda

   An executive session will be held at 6 p.m. at the District Office, Wednesday, May 19, to discuss evaluation of personnel and to conduct deliberations concerning labor negotiations. Following the executive session, the regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Consent agenda

   There is one new hire: Debbie Umphenour, TS Dishwasher and one leave of absence: Harv Nelson, TS Math teacher.

Reports & recognitions

   May enrollment will be discussed.

   There is a $7,500 Idaho System for Educational Excellence grant to be discussed.

   The Native Plant Pollinator Gardens Grant will be discussed.

   Sandra Baggett will give a presentation concerning We the People bookshelf collection.

   Procedures

   Job Descriptions will be addressed for the positions of: Maintenance Director, Head Custodian, Custodian, and Technology Director.

   Drug and Alcohol Abuse Testing Program and Procedures (5320P) will be discussed.

   Building and Program Reports will be given.

Public comments

   Public comments will be received.

Action items

   Canvass Supplemental Levy Election is the first item.

   A second Reading of the following policies will take place: 3310 Gangs and Gang Activity; 3335 Academic Honesty; 4420 Sex Offenders; 4250 Educational Research in District Schools; 5380 Professional Research and Publishing; and 9331 Resource Conservation.

   There is a request for an overnight field trip for OJH Natural Helpers.

   The Strength-based Intervention Program will be discussed.

   Cavendish School Grade Range will be discussed.

   A recommendation for Last Best Offer is on the agenda.
