Rouse collects four victories, Struhs three

Maniac boys win Kamiah track and field invitational

   The Maniac boys nabbed the team title at the Kamiah track and field invitational with 87 points.

   Orofino's Nathan Struhs had victories in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles as well as the high jump.

   Meanwhile, Orofino senior Ellen Rouse dominated the girls, winning four events at the 16-team event on May 2.

   Rouse zipped to wins in the girls' 100-meter dash in 12.35 seconds and in the 200 in 25.9. She also won the discus with a throw of 128 feet, 10 inches as well as the shot put with a toss of 43-02.

   The Maniac girls finished third in the team standings with 81.5 points.

   Timberline boys finished fourth with 73 points. The girls had ten points.
