Spokesman Review features OHS graduate
Donlee (Konkol) Marlin, of
Spokane,
a 1982 graduate of Orofino High School, was given a high five in the April 24
edition of the Spokesman Review in Spokane.
Marlin, who was OCI royalty in the early 1980’s when Angie Barnett was Queen, is the daughter of Don Konkol.
The article from the Spokeman was entitled a Hairstylist, Realtor and amazing role model.
Marlin has been a hairstylist for more than 22 years, 18 of them in her elegant Spokane Valley home salon, Donlee Image Consulting.
Once her sons were established in school she became a successful Windermere Realtor.
The article states Marlin, a hands-on mom is raising great kids who are active in high school, music and church. She involves them in some of her charity work too.
She is described as vivacious, upbeat and compassionate and has done hair for longtime clients in hospitals and their homes. She has sometimes aided struggling clients in both her careers, with yard work or homemade chicken soup. She likes making people feel good.
Marlin said “I’ve always been a high energy person and keep organized, doing tasks as soon as possible.”
“If I can put a smile on a client’s face or my boys’ or husband's,’’ says Marlin, “it’s all worthwhile.”
Marlin’s styling wizardry fulfills her artistic bent. “Real estate work keeps my brain from seizing up and I help people fulfill their home dreams,” said Marlin.
