Recovery Act
provides funding for waterline upgrades

The American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is providing funding to install about 1500 feet of
buried water pipeline that will replace an existing line that is leaking.
In addition, frost-free hydrants will be replaced with heated water hydrants at
all 15 RV sites. “These upgrades will provide a dependable, year-round water
supply for campers and reduce the amount of water that is being wasted,” O’Neill
said.
The boat ramp and boat
preparation area at the Pink House Recreation Site will not be affected by the
maintenance work and will remain open during this time. The ARRA funding creates
jobs for private contractors, will reduce the amount of wasted water, and will
allow an increasing number of visitors to use and enjoy the facilities at this
site.
