20 on $1,490,000 supplemental school levy
The
levy is for the purpose of paying all lawful expenses of maintaining and
operation of the schools of the district for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009.

High School Valedictorian and Salutatorian
Mitchell Tanner Jared, son of Mitch and Julie Jared of Pierce is the
Valedictorian of the 2008 graduating class of Timberline High School.
Hayden Tyrell Jared, son of Barbie and Tom Jared of Weippe is the
Salutatorian.

Registration for the May 24 “Retreat to Weippe” fun walk/run is
advised in advance of the May 10 deadline to avoid a $5 late fee.

NOT Ok' message goes mobile
“It’s NOT Ok” for adults to supply alcohol to those who are underage
and Simmons-NADL Sanitation is helping Clearwater Substance Abuse
Workgroup (CSAW) spread that message in Orofino and Weippe with
magnetic signs on the sides of their trucks.

wine tasting provides fun and funds
The Clearwater
Valley Hospital 34th Annual Wine Tasting last Friday
evening attracted close to 175 guests and netted over $4,000 to
provide camper scholarships to CVHC’s pediatric patients with
diabetes.

Dr.
Phillip Petersen, Family Practice physician at Clearwater Valley
Hospital and Clinics since 1993, will be teaching a three hour class
on prescription drug abuse.

in drug search
Four persons were arrested Wednesday as a result of a search warrant
served at a College Avenue residence in Orofino.

Amanda Tucker of Greener Clearwater County is sharing the grassroots
organization’s message to reduce, reuse and recycle as part of their
effort to improve the county through these 3 Rs.

district enrollment down 45 from last year
The school district enrollment in April was 1,260. This is down 21
students from last month and 45 students from this time last year,
it was reported at the school board meeting Monday at Timberline
School.
