Mallory Norris is Timberline High School’s Junior Miss 2004-05. She is the daughter of Kim Norris and Melvin Norris Jr. Runner up was Heidi Rieche, daughter of Anthony Rieche and Juanita Rieche. Both girls are from Weippe.

A new 22-pound chain saw with a built in 3.5 horsepower gasoline engine goes on display at the new Orofino Saw Shop, local Homelite dealership. The new business is located on Michigan Avenue nesx to Crockett’s Trading Post and is operated by D.D. Deyo and Norman Riddle.

Nearly eight tons of rock salt was dropped in the Moose Creek area this week to pull big game off the low winter ranges into higher country.
Annual log drive of Potlatch Forests. Inc. is now six miles below Elk Creek on the North Fork. The drive started a few weeks ago from Robinson Creek, a short distance below the mouth of the little North Fork.

Clearwater County will receive for school purposes $2,004 as its share of the quarterly apportionment from state funds. Under the equalization school law a total of $162,255 was apportioned among the various counties from earnings from endowment fund investments and license collections.
