Supplemental levy election set for May 18
Based upon the loss of state funding for public education,
the Joint School District No. 171 Board of Trustees will
submit a supplemental levy ballot for $1,740,000 to voters
on May 18.

At a facilities meeting for Jt. School District 171, held
April 22, Lawrence Rose and Jim Coles of Design West
presented construction plans for proposed projects.
Orofino Farmers Market organizational meeting May 12
Spring is here; the growing season is upon us. Idaho
farmers’ markets will soon be offering fresh, locally grown
fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, farm fresh eggs, and fresh
cut flowers to consumers.

Colleen Nelson of the Pierce/Weippe Chamber were the guests
and keynote speakers addressing the luncheon held April 21.
class of 1985 quarter century reunion planned for fair time
The Orofino High School class of 1985 will be hosting their
25 year reunion during Orofino Lumberjack Days.
Kiwanis Kids Fair is Saturday
Kiwanis Club of Orofino will host their 15th Annual “Spring
Kids Fair” on Saturday, May 1 at the Orofino elementary
School from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Allens nominated as delegates to Idaho State Democratic
Clearwater County Democrats held their Caucus on April 22
and nominated John Allen and Kathryn Allen as delegates to
the Idaho State Democratic Convention in Coeur d’Alene June
11 and 12.
