Mock Trial

Mark your calendar for April 28, 10 a.m. People will pack the historic Pierce Courthouse to watch the Timberline High School government class present a mock trial of the famous shooting of Edward Madsen by Pierce resident Mike Koss. This will be the April gathering of the celebration of the Sesquicentennial.

Judge Randy Robinson will be helping the high school students understand even more the particulars of a murder trial. Teacher Katie Bird will be spending the next two weeks capitalizing on the processes and the participation of the public in our country's judicial system. What a unique opportunity for the seniors. Everyone is invited to view the mock trial.

It happens to be during regular working hours, but there are already people taking some time off to view the hour trial. Everyone is invited! After the intense experience, the kids will be treated to pizza and drinks, and be able to spend some time receiving some accolades. So put aside Wednesday, April 28, 10 a.m. to take this in.
