Where have all our children gone?

   The photograph featuring this week’s Mystery Children shows the first five of ten siblings and was taken in the year of 1949 or 1950. The children were raised in both Orofino and Nez Perce.

   Some of the siblings still live here, some in Kamiah, some in Lenore and some live in Lewiston.

   Some of the children pictured are retired and some travel north to Alaska for work.

   Can you guess the family of this week’s Mystery Children?

   Last week’s photograph was submitted by Ira (Ike) Fackenthall; one of the eight students attending #2 School District on Freeman Creek in 1929. The Mystery Children were: (back row left to right) Tom Fackenthall, Erle Fackenthall, Phoebe Fackenthall and Fred Knight. Ira Fackenthall, Elsie Parsley and Noel Crowley, (teacher Edith Crowley’s son) were in the middle row, and in the front row, stood Georgia Parsley.

   All the children in the picture are now deceased with the exception of Ike Fackenthall, of Ahsahka and Georgia (Parsley) Mclean, presently living in Lewiston.

   There were no calls received this past week to correctly identify the Mystery Children.
