Update provided on Waterways’ Grant – Boat Safety

Sheriff Alan Hengen and Chief Deputy Chris Goetz provided an update on the Clearwater County Sheriff’s department. They talked about the Waterways’ Grant for boat safety from Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to Fund the Waterways’ Deputy Patrol position. The Board signed the Agreement for receiving the funds in the amount of $38,471.88 of which they have already received $19,000.
The BOCC approved and signed the Modification to Agreement No. 07-LE-11010500 -047 for Clearwater County Sheriff for patrol activities for US Forest Service.
Bobbi Kauffman, Planning and Zoning Administrator presented new Ordinance books to each of the commissioners. The BOCC approves Resolution # 08-08-05 amending the By Laws of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The BOCC sent a letter to the P&Z Commission withdrawing the proposed zoning map amendment at this time.
The Board held a public bid opening for Road Oil. Two bids were received, from Idaho Asphalt Supply and SemMaterials LP. The Board took the bids under advisement for further review and consideration.
The Board held a public bid opening for furnishing, placing and stockpiling crushed aggregate, one bid received from Tripco, Inc. The Board took the bid under advisement for further review and consideration.
The Board held a public hearing on the proposed Dust Abatement fee increase. Fee increased more than 5% increase to $375 for 600 feet of dust abatement. After deliberation they approved to set price at $300 for 600 lineal feet of Road.
The deteriorating condition of Grangemont was reviewed. The Board approved to restrict weight limit to 20,000 lbs until conditions improve, with the restriction effective Wednesday, April 9, 2008, by 12:01 midnight.
