Auxiliary sponsors quilt raffle
Dora McMinn, owner of the Quilting Shed in Lenore, has once again crafted a beautifully designed double bed quilt and donated it to the Clearwater Valley Hospital Auxiliary. The Auxiliary is using it to host a raffle to raise funds for the hospital. Another Auxiliary member, Marion Thompson, donated the design and the material. Proceeds benefit the programs and services of CVHC.
“Dora’s quilts are so beautiful and her generosity is so touching,” said Jeanette Gorman, CVHC Community Relations Coordinator. “Both Dora and Marion are dedicated members of our Auxiliary and we’re fortunate to have them donate material, time and skills on our behalf.”
The Pansy Delight quilt featuring squares and trim using dusky pink, sage greens and a bit of light purple will be on display until May 5 at U.S. Bank on Michigan Avenue. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. They can be purchased at the bank, at the hospital’s downstairs switchboard and through any Auxiliary member.
The CVHC Auxiliary was formed in 1957 and meets the first Monday of every month September through May at noon in the banquet room of the Ponderosa Restaurant. Everyone is invited to attend. For more information contact Kathy Dougherty, President, 476-5663.
