Timberline falls to Genesee

   Beau Dahmen tossed a one-hitter to pace Genesee past Timberline in a Whitepine League game March 25. The Bulldogs outscored the Spartans 12-2.

   Dahmen struck out 10 and allowed just four walks in a complete-game effort. He also collected three hits, including a triple, and an RBI.

   Tanner Jared had the Spartans lone hit.

Timberline overcomes deficit to down Culdesac

   Despite a big day from Culdesac's Bradley Layes, Timberline climbed out a two-run deficit to post a 7-5 Whitepine League win over the Wolves March 27.

   Skylar Hendren threw a complete-game five-hitter for Timberline and had two hits, including a double. Tanner Jared also collected a pair of hits.

   Layes accounted for most of Culdesac's offense with home runs in the third and seventh innings, both with a man on base.

Lady Spartans lose double-header

   The Lady Spartans lost both games of a double-header against Troy in a Whitepine League matchup at Lewiston's Airport Park March 29.

   Troy played a strong offensive game, particularly during a 14-run explosion in the sixth inning of the second game. The Trojans won 28-7 and 17-7, both in six innings to move to 4-1 in league and overall.
