   No school this week. The Pierce Community Center has Weight Watchers Wednesday, April 2 at 5:30, Judo also at 5:30 and the GEM meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, April 7 there will be Judo at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 there will be a 5:30 Weight Watchers meeting with Judo at 5:30. Friday, April 11 is Quilt Club at 9 a.m. and skating in the evening from 6 to 8 p.m. – 2nd grade FREE.

   Greg Gerot has a new granddaughter, Flora Stubbert, of Eugene, OR. Diane Gerot has a new grandson, Rowan Parker, born in Tallahassee, Fl.

   Mark your calendars. A Benefit auction and jam session for Jack Smith will be held at the Weippe Community Hall April 26. There will be a potluck and auction with music to follow. Call Grayce at 464-2498, Colleen at 435-4693 or Terry at 4765-4109 for information, donations or tickets.

   The Pierce-Weippe Chamber is hosting a Banquet and Auction  April 19, 6 p.m. at the Weippe Community Center. Dinner will be catered by Timberline Cafe. The price will be $15/adults, $8/children with a menu of chicken, salads and dessert. There will be a cash bar, plinko and blackjack games, a live auction and a silent auction and bucket raffles. Tickets for the dinner and for the special raffle will be sold in advance at Blue Moose Mercantile, Pierce Hardware and The Timber Inn in Pierce.

    Leslie wanted to share that California is awesome! She says they picked oranges from Joey's yard on Monday to share with the snowbound people of Pierce and are going to see the ocean tomorrow.
