Where have all our children gone?

   This week’s Mystery Child was born and raised in Weippe and graduated from Timberline High School. She is one of five children, she has three sisters and a brother. Our Mystery Child loves all animals, and had a Banty rooster for a pet when she was younger. She lived in Alaska for 19 years and returned to the area five years ago.

   Last week’s Mystery Child was Linda Wood of Weippe. As a child, Linda grew up around dam construction, as her father worked on the Grand Coulee Dam for 17 years. A former teacher, Linda taught school for nine or ten years in Pierce and Weippe. Linda is an active member of the Hilltop Players, a drama club. She belongs to the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and still finds time to work at the Family History Center at the Latter Day Saints Church.

   Linda has six children, all who graduated from Timberline High School, and 11 grandchildren.

   The first person to correctly guess last week’s Mystery Child was Cassie Waldron. Other correct guesses were submitted by Karen Wilson, Hattie Hodges and Dorothy Luffman. Anne Riley and Norma Reinhardt were submitted as incorrect guesses.
