King's ‘Bunny Hop’fundraiser benefits CVHC

King’s Department store on Highway 12 regularly holds fundraisers to benefit the Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics Foundation. On Saturday, April 3, from noon to 4 p.m., the store will feature a visit from the Easter Bunny and provide free photos.  Also slated is a Bunny Hop game.  Every half hour customers will be asked to find an ‘egg’ to stand on.  If their number is announced that customer wins a gift certificate for $20 in King’s merchandise.

Ten percent of the net proceeds raised during the four hour event will be donated to the foundation which supports the programs and services of the hospital.  Special sales are lined up for the fundraiser. King’s Discount Stores is an Idaho based corporation with department stores throughout the state.

“We really appreciate the support of King’s.  The Orofino store manager, Laura Wolverton, came up with the idea of holding regular fundraisers at the store to benefit the community.  Knowing that health care is needed, at one time or another, by everyone within the area she selected our foundation as the recipient,” said Jim May, CVHC Development Director.  “We encourage parents to bring their children to the store for last minute Easter shopping and for a fun family event.”

Proceeds benefit the CVHC Foundation endowment fund which is used to make future purchases of equipment and capital improvements at the hospital and their clinics.  According to May, the goal of the fund is to grow the principle so every year the Foundation can make a significant financial contribution to the hospital from the interest accrued by the endowment fund.
