Watch for the Spring Break School Team
Orofino has just become a new destination during the week of March 30-April 6 for Washington Spring Break High School students to serve the community of Orofino and build relationships with other high school students.
The Orofino Community Church is home base for their stay in Orofino. The team consists of 36 students and 12 adults.
The team will be seen in the mornings doing service projects ranging from fixing fences, cleaning up yards, free oil changes for single parent families in Weippe and Orofino and building a shed at the Orofino High School Maniyac Center and rebuilding a fence.
Each afternoon from 3 to 6 p. m. the team will be at the Teen Center and invite all area youth to join them for a free dinner, which they will provide, and then they will move to the Orofino High school for activities from 6:30 to 9 p. m.
