Rouse named girls’ athlete of  the meet at Lewiston Invitational

   Orofino’s Ellen Rouse, who was a four-event state champion last year, zipped to wins in the girls' 100-meter dash in 12.55 seconds and in the 200 in 26.14 in the Lewiston Invitational March 22. She was named girls' track athlete of the meet.

   Anna Albrecht of Pullman, who has signed with Washington State, outdistanced Rouse in the shot put, throwing 41-10, to Rouse’s 39-11. Rouse won the state title in discus last year.

   The Orofino girls finished seventh in a field of 20 teams, with a score of 50.

   The Maniac boys finished 13^th with 15 points. Timberline boys finished 17^th with five points.
