Bob Thomason won the 16-yard singles in the ATA Trap Shoot this week. Dick Allen and Bill Mattis were Class B and Class C winners. Sonny Lage of Pierce won the Sunday 100 bird shoot Class B title.

Orofino High School Girl’s A basketball team closed their season with an 8-6 record. Team members were Susan Fitzsimmons, Phyllis McIver, Darcy Aldrich, Carol Yenni, Patty Steinbruecker, Barbara Boren, Debbi Burns and Janis Newman.

Weippe High School newspaper won all-state honors at the annual University of Idaho High School Journalism Conference. First class award went to Pierce High School.
Kenneth Harvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harvey, and a third grade student, received the grand prize in the primary section of the Lewis-Clark Science Fair in Lewiston. His project was on showing how impressions are taken from teeth.
