Maniacs shut out McCall-Donnelly at Dave Wright Invitational Dylan Midstokke tossed a five-inning shutout and got overwhelming support from Orofino's offense, as the Maniacs pounded McCall-Donnelly 23-0 in their David Wright Invitational March 14. Midstokke allowed three hits and no walks while striking out 10. The game ended on the mercy rule after 4 1/2 innings. Midstokke also had a productive day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Jeff Vicory also drove in three runs while Frank Haskett and Michael Welch both went 2-for-3 with two RBI. In other tournament play, St. Maries dumped Kellogg 12-7. Maniac JV falls to Pomeroy Getting all but one of their 12 hits in the first and sixth innings, Pomeroy defeated the Orofino JV in baseball 15-4 on March 12. Pomeroy took charge with a four-run opening frame. The Maniacs pulled to within two by the sixth, but the Pirates responded with a 10-run spree. The game was eventually called on the mercy rule.
