CLEARWATER TRIBUNE HOME
MARCH 18, 2010
We need your help–this shouldn’t happen in our community
Last week I ran this very sad story. Since in our care little Heidi is living the life she deserves. Heidi is eating and drinking well. She is slowly gaining weight. Heidi loves affection. Even after what was done to her Heidi is willing to trust. I have to add that we found duct tape on all four legs. This means that her front and back legs were taped together. She managed to chew off most of the tape.
To see Heidi trust and ask for affection in a very gentle manner makes my heart hurt even more. Heidi will continue to thrive and grow. We will find the forever home Heidi so deserved. We would like to know who the owners were that did this despicable act of cruelty.
If you have any information please call 476-9823. All calls are confidential. If you missed last week’s article it is below.
On Friday night I got a call regarding a dog. Someone had tied the dog to the courthouse steps. Whoever tied the dog used a metal fishing stringer around its neck. It also had duct tape wrapped around its front paw.
We don’t know how long this poor dog stood there. She was scared to death. She will have to go to the veterinarian to have the duct tape removed. The duct tape will have to be cut away. Duct tape will pull the hair off the paw. It will be very painful and scare her.
There are many wonderful dog owners in our community that will be mortified by this dog owner’s obvious abandonment and cruel act. We want to know who did this to this sweet dog. If you know who the owner is please call 476-9823.

Lost and found
Lost from the Kalispo St. area on Monday, March 1. Female calico cat, 3 years old, adult- but on the smaller side. Her name is Shilo. Please call if you have seen her. 476-9823.
If you find a stray dog, please contain the dog or cat, if you feel it is safe to do so, and then call. Many times I get a call from someone that has a stray but by the time I get there the person calling says the dog ran off. Please contain in a yard or tie the dog until I get there. We want to keep these poor dogs safe and either find their owners or get them a wonderful lifetime home.
All stray dogs and cats are vaccinated and wormed upon arrival for their safety and the safety of the other dogs and cats. They are also neutered and spayed after a five (5) day waiting period. All costs are the responsibility of the owner claiming the dog or cat. Strays are held for five days and then are up for adoption.
If you recognize any of the above strays and know who the owner is, please call. We want to get these wonderful dogs and cats back to their homes. Call 476-9823.
