Pierce/Weippe Chamber Auction is April 19

By Charlene Douglas

Want to relax after tax season?  Want to try your luck at games of chance?  Want to have a chance at winning a Weatherby rifle with Leopold scope?  Want a great meal on top of all that?  And, just for attending, do you want a chance at winning a fantastic door prize? Then circle April 19, on your calendar!

The Pierce/Weippe Chamber is having its annual auction and banquet starting at 6 p.m. at the Weippe Community Center.  This year MANY new fun activities have been added.

The evening will begin with time to socialize while playing the games of chance (Plinko and Blackjack), winning and throwing tickets into our new Bucket Raffles and visiting our cash beer and wine stations.  Following play time, a mouth-watering broasted and/or BBQ dinner will be catered by The Timberline Café.

While playing the games and eating dinner, you will have an opportunity to view and bid on numerous superb items in our new Silent Auction.  Then we’ll move into the “do you feel lucky” part of the evening with our Live Auction.  Leroy Kuykendall will serve as our very talented auctioneer again this year.  The last item to be auctioned off will be the head table for next year’s event – this will include dinner tickets for eight, champagne and other special amenities.

But, the fun doesn’t end there. After the Live Auction, we’ll be drawing the name of the winner of our first ever hunting rifle raffle.  This year we are raffling off a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter, 30-06 with Leopold scope (check out our flyers all over town for complete details).  Only 200 tickets for this special raffle will be sold!!

Dinner tickets are $15/adults and $8/children. The raffle tickets for the Weatherby are $10/each.

Dinner and Raffle tickets for the Weatherby are available at these fine locations:

·   In Orofino, at the American West Bank and the Clearwater Tribune.

·   In Pierce, at the Blue Moose, Pierce Hardware and the Timber Inn.

·   In Weippe, Mary Ann’s Groceries and Sherry’s Cakes and Bouquets.

Get your dinner and raffle tickets early – I hear that they won’t last long!  Hope to see you there!
