Mrs. Bruce McLaughlin has been chosen Lady of the Year by Beta Sigma Phi and was presented a silver dish marking the honor.
Orofino Catholic Church has announced plans to build a 48 by 40 two story multiple use class room structure at the corner of Brown and C Street.
Four Orofino students have been named to the Dean’s List at Boise State College. Leon R. Bowles, sophomore in pre-dental had highest honors with 4.00. Mike Bessent, junior accounting major and Patricia Chase a senior in elementary education, both had high honors with 3.75 thru 3.99. Clark Owsley, junior general business major had honors in the 3.50 thru 3.74 category.

Pure filtered water from the terrific spring turbidity on the turbulent Clearwater will soon be a reality for the City of Orofino. A new $125,000 filtration plant is now being completed by Commercial Builders.
Audrey Ross was notified this week that she is the winner of a $100 Union Pacific Scholarship for outstanding 4-H work.
