Five county positions up for re-election this fall
Filing deadline is March 21
Declarations of candidacy for the positions of two county commissioners, clerk/auditor, recorder, county sheriff and prosecuting attorney must be filed with the Clearwater County Clerk’s office beginning March 10 and no later than 5 p. m. March 21.
The two commissioner positions up for election are District 1, a four-year-term, currently held by Don Ebert and District 2, a two year term, currently held by Stan Leach.
The position of Clerk/Auditor/Recorder currently held by Carrie Bird, is for a two year term to fill the remainder of Robin Christensen’s term, following her resignation last fall.
The position of County Sheriff, currently held by Alan Hengen, is for a four-year term.
The Prosecuting Attorney position, currently held by Clayne Tyler is a four-year term.
The declarations are available at the Clearwater County Clerk’s office in the county courthouse located at 150 Michigan.
