Garth Gimmestad receives second Navy Commendation Medal
LT Garth Gimmestad recently received his second Navy Commendation Medal for his recent service at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station in Naples, Italy.
LT Gimmestad is a 1991
graduate of Orofino High School. He joined the Marines directly out of high
school in 1991 after getting out of the Marines in 1996 and he attended
George
Mason University in
Fairfax, Virginia and then
joined the United States Navy in 2000 and has served in Japan, Iraq, and most
recently Italy.
He is currently enroute to his next duty station at Navy advertising in Millington TN where he will live with his wife Megan and their three year old son, Gavin.
Garth’s parents are Dean and Ellie Gimmestad of Cavendish.
