Employees of the Week

Ronald Drapeau wishes to nominate Ruth Walker and Amy Spence at Augies as Employees of the Week.

“It is a place that is always full of laughter when I visit, and I find it a very enjoyable and upbeat place to enjoy an awesome choice of food and drinks,” said Drapeau.

Lori McMillen and Tina Vaughn of the Pierce Post Office were nominated by an anonymous caller who wanted to say, “It is refreshing to be around nice, kind, helpful people with a positive attitude, and they always go the extra mile to help someone.”

Sheila Burns stopped by the Clearwater Tribune Tuesday afternoon to nominate Cherish at the Idaho Dept. of Labor office. As quoting Sheila, “I have only lived in Orofino a few years and am recently unemployed. While searching for work at the Orofino Job Service, I couldn’t help notice how encouraging, helpful and kind one of the Job Service employees is to not only me but everyone who walks in the door.

She always has a smile on her face and it doesn’t seem to matter who she is assisting. She treats everyone with dignity and respect.

Thank you Cherish for the excellent job you do. You are not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside.”

If you would like to name a local employee as Employee of the Week, you may phone the Clearwater Tribune at 476-4571, or email your candidate for Employee of the Week and why to

This is a great way to recognize a customer service person that you feel is outstanding at their job.

Callers may say why they choose this person and give a brief description, including the name of the business where the individual works.
