Local law enforcement serves warrants, makes drug-related arrests

   On Feb. 29 the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by several other agencies, served search warrants at seven different locations in the Orofino area and arrested 10 people on drug-related charges, according to Clearwater County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Chris Goetz.

   Search warrants were served the following Orofino and Ahsahka residences: 2602 Grangemont Road, 1797½ Hollywood, 411 College Ave. #3, 215 111th St., 4180 Northfork Drive, 11220 Hwy 12 #4 and 2674 Preston Road. Items seized in the searches include methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, illegal prescription pills, guns, and cash, according to Deputy Goetz.

   According to Deputy Goetz, the 10 people who have been arrested are:

   Amber Yeaman, 28, of Orofino, charged with delivery of methadone;

   Jerry O'Brien, 37, of Orofino, charged with delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of marijuana and delivery of marijuana with a child present;

   Charity O'Brien, 23, of Orofino, charged with frequenting a place where drugs are present;

   Georgie Hudson, 42, of Orofino, charged with delivery of marijuana and aiding and abetting in a delivery of marijuana;

   Marcus Claffey, 32, of Ahsahka, charged with delivery of morphine, delivery of morphine with a child present, delivery of morphine within 1000 feet of a school, delivery of hydrocodone and delivery of hydrocodone with a child present;

   Tracie Master, 25, of Orofino, charged with aiding and abetting the delivery of methamphetamine and frequenting a place where drugs are present;

   Michael Davis, 27, of Orofino, charged with delivery of methamphetamine and delivery of methamphetamine with a child present;

   William Zaikawski, 36, of Orofino, charged with delivery of methamphetamine and delivery of Oxycodone;

   Charlie Wilman, 25, of Orofino, charged with frequenting a place that drugs are present; and

   Heath Vaughan 26, of the Cavendish area, charged with delivery of marijuana.

    Five children were also taken into protective custody.

   The warrants and arrests were the culmination of a four month investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs including methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription narcotics in the Orofino area, according to Deputy Goetz.

   Assisting agencies include the Orofino Police Department, Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho Health and Welfare Child Protective Services and Fraud Investigation, Nez Perce Tribal Police and the US Forest Service Law Enforcement.
