Angler comments sought on 2008 Salmon Season proposals
Salmon anglers are encouraged to provide their comments concerning proposals to the upcoming salmon season by attending any of five Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) public meetings scheduled throughout the area.
Regional fishery personnel will provide a brief overview of prior seasons, especially the 2007 season; review factors related to 2008 projected chinook returns, and explain fishery constraints that the Department operates within.
Each meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the following locations:
· Lewiston: Monday, March 17, Idaho Fish and Game Office, 3316 16th Street
· Orofino: Tuesday, March 18, Best Western River’s Edge
· Kooskia: Wednesday, March 19, City Hall
· Grangeville: Wednesday, March 19, Oscars Restaurant
· Riggins: Thursday, March 20 (7 p.m. Mountain Time), Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge
